Contacting Vehicle Sellers Safely
Contact the professional seller directly through the options shown in the vehicle listing. Clear questions and written confirmation help prevent misunderstandings, unnecessary travel and payment risks.
Before contacting the seller
Note the listing reference, vehicle make and model, year, mileage or operating hours, price and location. Read the full listing first so you can ask focused questions.
Questions to ask
Confirm whether the vehicle is still available and ask about:
• VIN or chassis number
• Exact mileage or operating hours
• Known defects, warning lights and damage
• Accident and repair history
• Service records and inspection reports
• Registration, ownership and export documents
• Number of keys and included equipment
• Net or gross price, VAT and other taxes
• Collection, loading, transport and export options
Request evidence
Ask for recent photos or videos of the actual vehicle, including all sides, cabin, dashboard, mileage, tyres, engine, chassis number area and visible defects. For remote purchases, request a live video inspection or an independent inspection.
Verify the seller
Compare the seller's company name, address, contact details and bank account information. Be cautious if communication suddenly moves to a different person, number, email address or bank account.
Keep important agreements in writing
Document the agreed price, taxes, deposit, payment deadline, vehicle condition, included documents, collection or delivery arrangements and any promises made by the seller.
Protect personal information
Share only information necessary for the transaction. Never send passwords, verification codes or unrestricted copies of identity documents. Watermark document copies when appropriate.
Recognise warning signs
Stop and verify if the seller creates unusual urgency, refuses inspection, avoids providing documents, requests payment to an unrelated person, changes bank details unexpectedly or offers a price that appears unrealistic.
Before paying
Confirm the seller, vehicle and bank details independently. Use a traceable payment method and a written purchase agreement. Mandai Bazaar does not receive or guarantee payments between buyers and independent sellers.
